In my opinion one of the top 10 albums of all times. With Ron and Scott destroying the rhythm section. James Williamson playing leads that have yet to be defined, and Iggy meaning every lyric he sings. Who cares about the mix, the concept comes through loud and clear on every cut.

First I looked to see if it was possible to give an album zero stars, but you can't. This along with Taylor Smith (I know it's Swift) and countless others is what's wrong with the music of today
Well.......This sucks. We should start a site "1001 Albums You Should Pass On Before You Die"
Shows how important Ronnie Lane was to this band

Boy am I going to look foolish here but I'm sorry, this album gets on my nerves. Most others love this however I find it pretentious. No doubt she can sing but it just grates on me. I swear on the song Blue towards the end she sounds like Yoko. Prince loved this album and I've given it many tries but sorry Blue just leaves me cold
You know an album is good when you hear the songs for the first time and you tell yourself "I'm gonna have to go back and listen to this again" that's how it is for me with this album. This has The Verve's Urban Hymns murkiness all over it (a good thing) with instruments buried in the mix so low that you may not here what their playing the first time. I love "A Deeper Understanding" but wasn't impressed with "I Don't Live Here Anymore" Adam Granduciel's vocals remind me of a cross between Dwight Twilley and Daniel Lanois (again, a good thing) This is definitely a 1001 album you must hear before you die.
I love the tone of Stan Getz. This is something I would play on a Saturday night (not the whole thing however) I love music you don't have to think too much about.
Certainly this album is not going to stop the world. However, for what this album sets out to do it does accomplish. This is not the first album you would reach for to listen to but it would be a fine accompaniment to play at a Friday night get together.
Pretty much a flawless L.P. Billy Ficca doesn't get enough credit for being a great drummer.
GOD, PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!
For some reason when I went to listen to this on Youtube song 1 was not included. Doesn't matter though I'm pretty sure it would have not changed my opinion on this piece of junk. Who buys this garbage? Fever Ray? Sugar Ray? If you have a Ray in your band name you're gonna suck.
Had it not been for the song "Turn It Up" I probably would have given this one star
Well this is nothing I'm going to go out of my way and search for. If it shows up at a flea market for a buck I might buy it then.
Why would you care what I have to say about this album. The only reason I do this is to stroke my own ego. In my feeble imagination, I guess I'm thinking that I'm some kind of rock critic whose opinion matters to you on what you should or should not listen to. Either you like the albums featured here or you don't. My opinion means nothing. Besides I like "Darkness On The Edge Of Town" better
When this album came out I would have given it 5 stars. But now that it's been out 47 years the novelty has worn off. The high lights out weigh the mediocre here. With the worst song being "Across The Universe" Other wise a splendid time for all
Not great but not bad either. Sounds like a hundred other bands
Not my favorite Talking Heads L.P. But a good one none the less
My first 5 starrer here. Fantastic record
Well.......This sucks. We should start a site "1001 Albums You Should Pass On Before You Die"
Better than what I thought it would be
Great L.P. This is the one that put me on the Oasis bandwagon
I could only stomach 8 songs.
Jeez most of these songs sound like a child's nursery rhyme's. No thanks
This is such an improvement over "Blue" This one is a keeper.
I never heard/listened to this when it came out I wish I would have kept that streak going. Sucks!!!!!!
Not the first Queen album I would pick to listen to
This was a band I just could not get into. I mean I love Ray Price, Roy Acuff, The Louvin Brothers, Buck Owens and I get what the Burrito's are trying to do but that's the problem. What the Burrito's are trying to "Do" to me comes off as incomplete
For me, any of the compilation discs of greatest hits is the way to go with Fats
Nice L.P. Love the song "The Seed"
Fantastic freak out medley on side 1. Then "Mona" Maiden Of The Cancer Moon" Does any other album scream San Francisco more than this?
Nothing stuck
On release 11-30-79 five stars. Longevity four stars
If there's nothing else to listen to.
Even if side 2 was blank I still would love this album. A true star completely.
Achieved what it sets out to do
BORING!!!!! Who decides this is one of the 1001 albums I must hear before I die? Only a second star cause the girl on the cover looks like Goldie Hawn
Nope

If you turn your radio on right now I'm sure that something from this album is being played. This and "Second Helping" are my faves. Would give it 5 stars except it has one of the songs that contributed to the down fall of radio.
Live Through This, does that mean while listening to this sludge?
All time fave.
I thought I had already reviewed this. But no, this is the same album with a slightly different cover.
The first of three knockout punches. Before Blackmore became a fairy. Showing Ian Paice to be one of the three best English drummers
Not my kind of music. But because of her personality, not taking herself to serious, her stance on the R&R hall of fame I give this a yes
Synthetic punk, They were to the nineties what The Foo Fighters are to today. At one point you couldn't turn on your radio, T.V. without seeing or hearing them somewhere. Urban punk for those that wouldn't invest the time in listening to real punk bands. Billie Joe Armstrong as some kind of spokesman? I think not. Perhaps the dumbest move made by the R&R Hall Of Fame was having Mr. Armstrong giving the inauguration speech for The Stooges.
I've always liked her
What needs to be said?
Was gonna give it 4 stars, but after hearing it again, with the current state of music, I've changed it to a 5
CHIT
"Hair Metal" with balls
A parting gift.
Finest Of Funk
Rocks is better
And then it all goes downhill from here
Shows how important Ronnie Lane was to this band
Not as good as "Master Of Reality" but better than "Never Say Die"
Really? A top 1001 album?
Tiny Tim did it better
Might I suggest if you have never heard this album put it on your list of things to do today. You'll not be disappointed.
Overrated sludge
This could be his best ever album
How could you NOT give this five stars?
First I looked to see if it was possible to give an album zero stars, but you can't. This along with Taylor Smith (I know it's Swift) and countless others is what's wrong with the music of today
A lot of noise after the first song
Very uneven. Wheels Of Fire is their 5 star classic
In my opinion one of the top 10 albums of all times. With Ron and Scott destroying the rhythm section. James Williamson playing leads that have yet to be defined, and Iggy meaning every lyric he sings. Who cares about the mix, the concept comes through loud and clear on every cut.
Are we allowed to give 7 stars?
Too much product, not enough sustenance
Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda
I do like the cover though
Better than the first one
I would give this negative stars if I could. One of the worst records ever
I'll give this 5 stars if you don't include the "Apple Jam" album, 3 if you do
What a great L.P.
Their best was still to come
One of America's great bands
