The energy in this album is amazing. Every song has him being putting 100% into the vocals. This album really makes me want to go watch The Blues Brothers. There honestly seems to be very little variety between each track. I think there are actually only 3 real songs on the album, that just get rotated and different lyrics added. I think the sort of repetitiveness is offset by the fact that each track is so short. Nothing really outstays its welcome. Overall a really fun album.

Interesting intro, very dreamy with good synth vibes. This second track is really making me think of Talking Heads - Once in a Lifetime. How do you sleep is a straight banger. Black Screen has some distinct *wave vibes. I'm really enjoying how every track is basically in the same genre, but it able to distinguish itself in subtle ways to make it feel like a whole different genre.
I was honestly not expecting track 2 "It's So Easy", it's so far off of the sound that you normally hear from the radio for them. It honestly feels like it's trying to step into the Grunge genre. So far other than track 2, this album has felt like it's just themes on a single song. They're very tuned into what their "sound" is and they don't seem to deviate from it.
Nothing really significant for me to note here . I'd only really heard "Jane Says" and the rest of the album actually lined up with the expectation set by that song.
Every song has its own unique feel to it. For such a long album, it manages to stay fresh and interesting the whole way through.
Personally find it kind of nuts how many of these songs are radio hits. I think the only reason the whole album isn't is because most of the back half is somewhat down tempo compared to the rest of the album. Amazingly solid overall.
What even is this album?
Listening through this album I can really hear what an influence he had on some of the sample artists that followed later on. Incredibly smooth mixing. This album gets close to the idea that if you didn't know you were listening to samples you would have a hard time picking them out.
Now I need to go watch Blues Brothers.
