Here was my progression in listening to this.
*Track one I want to kill myself and potentially also kill my children so that they would never accidentally have to listen to this.
*Track two Maybe this isn’t that bad. It’s not exactly the best jazz I’ve ever heard but it’s OK.
*Track 3. Nope back to child murder it’s the only humane thing to do
*track 4. I do not know what it sounds like because I’m either dead or in jail for the aforementioned child murder

Leonard Cohen
3/5
As a fan of late career Dylan there is a lot I appreciate here. A broken voice. An obsession with legacy and mortality. I think Dylan does it better but he is bob Dylan.
I found the title track to be too much. The Russian choir, the bass, his voice. It just felt like an album of this would be too much. But then I liked it a lot more after that.
The Smiths
3/5
Will stick with my review from chat. I Never really liked Morrissey, and never listen to the Smiths. Having listen to the record now, it’s not that I don’t like it, is that it really doesn’t stand out for me in anyway. I think of it up in something that I had love in the 80s, I could still see enjoying it. I don’t think it is aged poorly. But I don’t think it has a lot it really invites me to watch explore more his music.

OK, I listened to the whole thing, and I have tried. But this album is just hot fucking garbage. It’s a bunch of terrible mid 2000s Pop hard rock bullshit.. But really it just sounds like every other crappy rock band that I only heard when I got to the movies early and had to listen to the stupid commercials and rock soundtrack that they advertise while you wait.
It’s just boring.

James Taylor

Is someone born in 1975 I grew up with James Taylor. My parents played this all the time. There was a time when I was very little when I loved it. Then there wasn’t much longer time when I hated everything about it. Now that I’m older I think I can say that I’ve settled somewhere in between. there are some all-time classic on the album. But it’s not something that I would like to pass on to my children

I am pretty sure this album got me pregnant, and I’m a man! It’s not my favorite Marvin Gaye album, other than the title track which is obviously an all timer, but there’s still so much greatness here

This was a massive album that hit me just in the post college. I already love a lot of Brit pop. I already loved fuzzed out guitars and distortion. Everything about this album I should’ve loved. But at the time I didn’t. I remember listening to it and never pulling the trigger on buying it myself. And honestly I still feel the same way. It’s fine. I certainly don’t hate it. But I just think it’s completely overrated

The second I started listening to this album I thought to myself “oh God, this is the kind of shit some douche bag from pitchfork with a foldable bicycle who hates kombucha ever since it’s sold out think is awesome“. And, of course it is!. It’s also the kind of shit that this list has absolutely tons of when so many other genres are under represented or not represented at all. Having said that I can’t hate this album, this was great. I’m not giving it five stars but a solid four star album and Something I’m definitely gonna listen to again
