Reading the reviews here you’d think this is the dullest record on the planet earth but I was happily blown away. It’s subtle, grungey, energetic and accessible in all the right ways. The first song is probably weakest for me which may have turned people off. 4.5/5 rounded up, great stuff!

Was not in the right frame of mind for the blues so it’s on me that I give it this score. One day I’ll try it again.
Breaking the Girl and Under the Bridge are high points but the rest kind of blends into one big jam which appealed to me much more when I was 15.
Never been a fan of their music so was expecting to not enjoy this but it was a decent album.
Fantastic album with a lot of energy and positive vibes.
Street Life (the song) was fantastic and really is the album. The remaining songs are good but are more like a jam. This is a very good one song album

This was difficult to rate. The mixing was really bad at times completely drowning out the vocals with distortion. At time I couldn’t tell if lyrics were actually being sang! However the tracks either go from okay/passable to really good which makes the mixing a bit of a shame. I thought I’d get bored of this but I kept listening. I would give a 3/5 but because of the mixing I have to give 2.
There was quite a lot of bongo in this Congo
Very close to a five star album for me. Every song is good, but it’s missing one killer hit. I love what sounds like a transitional sound between 80s and 90s, I love the Bowie influence and I was hooked for the whole record. I could well come back to this and see it as a five star album but right now it just falls shy.
This was a 5/5 when I first heard it when I was 15 and unlike a lot of these albums which don’t hold up, this is still a 5/5 now. Still absolutely amazing.
I can tell this is a good album but for some reason I’m just not a fan of the sound of the singers voice. It’s not that it’s bad, but more that it’s not for me. I know there’s albums I find to be 5/5 albums that other people would say the same thing for. Unfortunately as good as I could tell this album is, I just couldn’t enjoy it.
Cautious about Group Sex, was a bit messy and finished quicker than I thought but a good time was had by all.
For someone who had a lot of music to express after naturally being stuck behind the wall of McCartney/Lennon, George Harrison really didn’t disappoint. In fact he produced a monster of an album which in my opinion still outshines any other of the post-Beatles solo records. This album is a full realisation of George Harrison’s talents. Every song is full of life, moving lyrics and amazing instrumental performances.
This is an album which makes me have to consider my rating for a good while. I had to do a second listen through in order to make my decision and it’s going to have to go as a 3/5. I absolutely love just under half of this album…but the rest not so much. With the style of these songs I feel they have to click or not and there isn’t an in-between. The songs which I do dig I put more weight on than the songs which simply do not click with me and so this has to land on a 3/5.
