Without question one of the all time great albums. Brilliant in 1971 and just as brilliant and timeless now. Joni is a brilliant writer and musician - perhaps my favorite artist, if I had to choose.

I've never been a fan of Alice Cooper. I was surprised by some horns and jazz/soul type arrangements, but i have no urge to seek this one out.
Harder rock than I usually listen to, but I like Eddie Vedder's voice. Good stuff. My band plays Alive, so I was familiar with that one. Not enough variety in the tunes for me. "Release", though, is a nice change of pace.
I'm really liking this. Good power pop, nice melodies. I've not heard this before, except for their take on Mrs. Robinson.
OK. Under the Bridge is a great song. Preferred that style to the rest.

Harder rock than I usually listen to, but I like Eddie Vedder's voice. Good stuff. My band plays Alive, so I was familiar with that one. Not enough variety in the tunes for me. "Release", though, is a nice change of pace.
Liked it. Singer-songwriter acoustic vibe. Trumpet on some songs was a nice touch.
Rap is not my thing, but I'll listen. It's OK for what it is, but I won't listen a second time.
I was familiar with some of these songs, and my band used to play Train in Vain. Decent album but a little uneven so far. The variety in styles is nice.
Let's Get It On is one of the great songs. Really good stuff - soulful and sexy. Listened to it twice.
Started out not thinking much of it, but it started growing on me. Psychedelic pop meets power pop, to me. I listened to it a second time. Ok, but I'm not compelled to add it to my collection.
Classic album by a great singer. I need to be in the mood for Sinatra, though, and I didn't like the take on \"Anything Goes.\" Wonderful band and arrangements. I listened to it twice.
Interesting and well done. Still not my thing.
Very interesting that this came shortly after the Frank Sinatra record. It's very old school, and I could see Sinatra having recorded these songs. Good songs, but a lot of them sound similar. Well-produced. Listened twice.
Not much variety. A bit like The Clash, but not as good.
A true classic from a great songwriter. He's not my favorite, but there's no denying his talent.
Interesting - I hear a lot of early 60's "garage rock" as well as "proto-punk" as some describe it. It's a little harsh for my tastes right now, though. Some of the songs are pretty lame, IMO.
Just kind of "meh" to me. I didn't really hear anything memorable. Not offensive, but I treated it like background music.
I listened to it twice and it started growing on me. Some decent power pop a la REM or Big Star, but I would have like fewer but more developed songs. Some were pretty good, some could have been left off the album.
It's not really moving me. I'm not hearing a lot of variety in the songs.
I'm really liking this. Good power pop, nice melodies. I've not heard this before, except for their take on Mrs. Robinson.
OK for what it is, but not my style. Not enough variety in the songs.
I like Fairport Convention, and Sandy Denny in particular. I prefer acoustic and singer/songwriter music generally, and this fits right in. I listened twice.
I've not heard this one before. I really like it, and an amazing lineup, particularly on keys.
I'm surprised that I like it as well as I do. Had I been 10 years younger when it came out, I probably would have owned it. It's not my style, but it's pretty good. I listened to it twice.
On first listening I was disappointed. I was prepared to really love it. It was good, but not exceptional. I've listened to it 3 times now, and it's grown on me.
Some decent jazz and I generally like African-based popular music, but this one really didn't resonate with me.
Newman is a brilliant and very funny songwriter. I've like his stuff for a long time, and Political Science still amuses me! Listened twice.
Without question one of the all time great albums. Brilliant in 1971 and just as brilliant and timeless now. Joni is a brilliant writer and musician - perhaps my favorite artist, if I had to choose.
I'm totally unfamiliar with this band. Songs are OK, but seem pretty light and inconsequential to me. Good musicians.
Meh. I'm familiar with his hits, but it doesn't move me.
Good as far as it goes, if one were a Metallica fan. I'm not, so it didn't hold a lot of interest for me. I expect I like this version better than I would like the original tunes.
Clearly a classic and I own it, but it's never been among my favorites.
I like Costello. Good album, particularly for a first album. Pop punk.
At first listen I thought it boring. It grew on my as I listened a second and then a third time. I wouldn't call it a masterpiece, but it's decent enough.
I've never been a fan of Alice Cooper. I was surprised by some horns and jazz/soul type arrangements, but i have no urge to seek this one out.
I love the Beatles, but I'm really glad they grew artistically from their early efforts.
Catchy pop, but pretty lightweight.
Surprisingly accessible and enjoyable. I was impressed - listened three times.
Some tunes are OK, but nothing exceptional.
OK. Didn't hear anything special.
Not bad. Nothing I feel I need to own, though. Decent power pop.
Some pretty classic tunes, most of it seemed just OK to me.
Surprisingly, I like this album. Musically it's diverse, well performed. Not all rap, some melody, lots of variety. I listened to it twice. Well done!
I'm sure it's great for what it is, but not my thing.
Nice harmonies, but songs are all pretty similar, I think.
Good reggae. I like the horns.
I bought this album in 1971. Always liked it, and I've gotten to appreciate it beyond. Peaches en Regalia.
Great album. Waits writes some beautiful song. Listening to this got me on a Waits kick for the day.
Decent enough. I really like a couple of the songs.
It grew on me as I listened to it (3 times).
I liked it a lot. Mellow vibe. Good stuff.
Some good stuff. The production seemed dated to me.
OK, but I'm not big on the style.
OK, but not really into Aerosmith.
Excellent album. Surprisingly good.
Seems pretty dated.
I didn't much care for it when it came out, but I appreciate it more now. Not a fan of "Shout".
I really like this album. I knew several of the tunes, of course, but the ones with which I was unfamiliar were really good too.
Didn't do much for me. The vibe's not bad, but that's about it. It also bugs me that he misspelled "gilded".
Just OK.
Not bad. Liked it more the second time I listened to it.
I was expecting to like it but didn't. Too far out there even for me.
Pretty wild for it's time. Decent enough, but not one that I'll listen to often.
Just OK. Songs sounded awfully similar.
I really enjoyed this. Listened three times. Great, diverse tunes.
Decent, but not better than Tommy.
OK. Under the Bridge is a great song. Preferred that style to the rest.
Boring.
I liked it. Some really good songs.
Better than I expected. Some good songs.
Meh. Nothing stood out.
Great stuff.
Great songs. Four chords and the truth!
Surprised that I liked it as much as I did.
OK, I guess. Don't care for it, but the genre's not my thing.
Nothing special.
Not as "metal" as I feared. OK, for what it is.
OK. It got better for me on the second listen.
Classic album. One of my favorites - takes me back.
Writes well, but not into the genre.
I really like this album. It can be tough to review since the songs are so well known and played so much. Some haven't aged as well as others, but Thunder Road and Jungleland will always be rock anthems.
Amazing album, everything holds up well, even though I played it virtually every day for awhile in high school.
Decent. Good rock band. I probably would have enjoyed them live.
Pretty decent for rap. More musical than most.
This was an eye-opener. I knew her name but had not listened to her. Excellent stuff - good songs and great production. Good diversity in styles. I liked it.
Excellent album. Some really great songs.
Some decent moments, and obviously a decent band, but too metal for me. Were I 20 years younger, though, they would likely have been among my favorites.
OK, but nothing special.
Pretentious and kind of boring. I'm sure it was much better seeing it live.
Some nice stuff, but on the whole not one I'd want in my collection.
Didn't care for it.
Nothing special.
Good album. Good variety, excellent songs, well-produced.
Good stuff. I liked it.
Great album. I wasn't familiar with all the tunes, but it was solid, top to bottom.
Better the second time around.
Decent grooves.
I really liked this one. I was unfamiliar with all the tunes, so a nice surprise!
Great blues, great band.
Decent, but works mostly as background music for me.
Songs were decent, musically, but I didn't care for the screamo vocals.
Mellow, but only a couple songs really notable.
Good album. I usually like female singer/songwriters. This is no exception.
Not much into old rap.
Good stuff. I knew Guitar Town but had not listened to the entire album before.
Good rock, great guitarist.
Great album. Great songwriting and harmonies. One that I own.
Surprisingly good album from a band I've never heard of!
Not into power punk.
Brilliant album. A Classic
