Will never really get Leonard Cohen...
Lovely, but not the music for mid-lockdown
Love it! Refreshing and upbeat. Listened while running in the cold. California dreaming very prescient
The best, never fals
A but MOR 90’s indie
This album made me feel like I was sitting on the tailgate of my truck by a pit fire. Slurping sour mash with some good ol’ boys.
Musically gold, morally problematic
A reliable old friend. It terrifies me that this is 21 years old
Like Brendon Benson singing over an Imogen Heap instrumental album on a bit of an ‘ambient’ day
Well, its just great isn’t it. Even Yellow Submarine can’t spoil it
Knew the name, never heard. Passes by without landing a punch, very of its time but oddly quite pleasing
Glorious
Hardcore. Made for a chaotic minded morning listen
Enjoyed this. Arranged like a musical in places. Not sure world music will ever be my thing though
Not going to lie. Didn’t last two songs before I was over this
Glorious
Superb
Silly.
Listened three times over.
I rate Dead Elvis over this album anyday
A 40/60 album with some belters and a fair bit of angry crud
Clash covers band without the swagger, the songs or Joe Strummer
I don’t get this at all. MOR rock n roll songs, but they wear glam so its amazing? Nope
Yep, lived this. Lovely slice of the 70s
Perfect album for sensitive grungers with a thing for choirboys
Perfect
Cracker
All sounds the same to me barring the hits
Two hits and a lot of filler
Rawk
Excellent
Pass.
Classic
Morally problematic
Nice enough
Meh
Two killers, fair bit of filler
The best
A bit self indulgent
Unusual and great
So very 60’s
Glorious
Silly
Meh
There’s only so much country a man can take
Joyful silly fun
Gorgeous
Bit meh without the hits
Glorious, not a bad song on the album
So very very 80’s. I bet he had music videos with ballerinas or something
Some great songs. But fades into rehearsal room self indulgence regularly
I feel once you hear a Leonard Cohen song, you’ve heard 80% of them. But the 20% is fabulous
I like a cuíca as much as the next guy, but maybe a bit much. Fantastic album though
Not the album I was expecting at all!
I mean, great and all but I’ve never got Purple Rain. It’s just so self indulgent
Just not for me
YEEEEEEEHAAAWWWWWW!!!
I enough
Stressful
Not for me
Yeeeehaaawwww
Super MOR
Can't not like this.
A fun novelty that wears off pretty quick. Brilliant for waking up children who are sleeping in too late
Problematic frontman. Mgmt-lite
Only so much of this a sane person can take.
Nice enough but a reminder that the early late 90's / early 2000's got a little dreary
Delightfully random
Glorious
I mean, super repetitive but they are bloody good at what they do
Oh the 60's. Why why why
Great
Just don't get Jay Z unless being good at Hip Hop is measured in how much you congratulate yourself for being ace
Weird good
Lovely voice, just not for me
Country meh
We know the classics, the rest are a bit of a mush of big hair
A bit of surreal fun
Just fantastic
Riffmungous! Shredtastic! Thrashalicious!
What a voice
Bleep bloop bleep quote bleep bleep generic dance track quote bleep bloop bleep
I mean, the Stones ripped their 70's stuff off, a few people ripped them off, then twenty years later these guys. How many levels of rip offf?
Comes and goes without landing any punches
Fierce
Nope
Soundtrack for a Notting Hill bar in the 2000’s
One or two crackers, then a lot of dross. I just don’t get Leonard Cohen
Two stone cold classics, gets a bit mushy otherwise
Great guitar overlaid with a slightly grumpy older man who may as well be complaining about youths hanging about the bus station
The most normal Nick Cave album I’ve yet heard
Bowie B sides
Not available on spotify
A whole album of songs looking for an action film to soundtrack
Yeehawwe
It just keeps going and going…
Meanders off into silliness
Meh
Also meh
Glorious
Got halfway through song one. This is the album version of some sleazy twat who has to be told to leave a party because he keeps showing his knob to ladies and asking if they want some
I thought this was just one song. Like se odd 40 minure concept album
Thought the album was done after the first song. So long…
Yawn
Dreamy
No idea what just happened
Yeeeeehawwww
Weird
Well that explains the Levellers...
Bit much
Lapses into silly

Bit silly for me
Not available on spotify
Worth it just for the opened
Sadness. Tick Piano. Tick.
My brain said “oh good, another album from 66/67” and it did exactly as expected
Stone cold classic
Just as forgettable as it was in 1992
Not on Spotify…
Great listening but monstrously self-indulgent
I'll take Robert plant over sleazy Rod anyday
Execrable. No song unskipped
Lost me at ‘Rock against ass’
Tiresome.
I can listen to this album back to back endlessly
Tiresome and lazy
Dreary
I'm sure I'd be in the mood for this at some point. But for now this is a bit tedious
Call waiting music for the uninspired morelike
Exhausting
Sounds like a demo
What happens when session musos don't have a good songwriter
Right wing rotter.
This is either a stone cold masterpiece or the crazed ravings of some drug addled loon. Either way, 5/5
I'm not sure what just happened.
Am I in a Pixar film?
Track 3 particularly bonkers
Bit silly
Jazz club. Nice
A proper 50/50 album. Some absolute corkers, some absolute 90s dross
I imagine this has soundtracked a few teen dramas in the 90’s
She sure can honk out a tune
Springsteen by numbers
I really want to like this but I just can’t
No more drugs for you, Traffic
I woke up this morning duh-duh-duh-duh-duh
Synth drum onslaught
Silly
Yeeehawwwww
Shouty
This album must have just hit the prefect time to crop up. Made my morning. Perfection
The sort of album the people who made it will enjoy far more than any of the potential listeners ever might
Irresistable
Nice enough
Unsettling in all the right ways
Shouty
Safe
Mambo number fiiiiive
Yeehawwe
It took twenty seconds of track one for me to give this one star.
So over the 60’s / 70’s stuff on this list
So that's where the Divine Comedy comes from!
Meh
Kind of chugs along perfectly inoffensively. I bet these guys felt like plaid shirt, boot cut heroes jamming this for days in a rehearsal room
So everyone had got bored of the White Stripes by now right?
Glorious cheekiness
Yeehaw
There is a Brazilian chain restaurant somewhere missing it’s endless soundtrack
Dross
Dross
Glorious
Tiring
What would have resulted if Lou Reed got into musicals instead of heroin
Desperately anodyne
Meh
TWAT
Every single act from Bella Union/Sub Pop sounds like this.
I mean, you must have to REALLY be into your congos to enjoy this
So many bands floating around dive bars in the mid-2000s doing Slint type stuff. Creepy
Not for me
Nope.
Languorous
Silly
What a peculiar and wonderful thing.
Great band, but bit of a borefest
Utterly forgettable. Car soundtrack for 2000's Trevs driving round Slough in their Fiesta.
