I really enjoyed this. Dunno when I'd go back go it but a great example of something you might only hear because of this list. Absurd. Ecclectic sound. Definitely not for everyone but very fun.

Really enjoyed this one
Slaps. The bongos. Not a 5 star slapper but fun
Not for me. Same sounds across the entire album. Hits/singles are neat
Not my fave of their albums but some good stuff
Second listen really made me appreciate this one more. Overall weird popprog stuff but in the end i enjoyed it more than initially thought
Love the genre and respect for the topics of the lyrics but couldnt get into this one
Really couldnt enioy this one aside from the hits. Just not for me but didnt need to turn it off
Would be a 2.5 but rounding up. Not for me, cool subject matter. Second half of the album redeems the first mostly
I dont know how to rate this one. I enjoyed it when i was in the mood for it. Then had meetings and house bs to do and i come back to it and didnt enjoy it. Second listen didnt clarify anything in the feels department
A little long and falls off at the end but solid album. Overall really enjoyed
A classic. Rocks start to finish
Okay tunes but Janis pushes this one up to a 4 for me
Fine album. I like her other stuff more but not bad by any means
Sounds like a soundtrack to a third party racing game for dreamcast
Grew on me. Definitely requires being in the mood for it for my tastes. The second half brought it up from a 2 in my opinion.
Reminded me of skating on a friday night as a kid
Wish this one had more jazzy or blues notes. A little too gospel for me
Absolutely nothing wrong with this album but I really couldnt get into it
I somehow finished this. Cannot recommend at all but respect the artists
Id give this a 3 (because its a 2.5 and theres rules) if it didnt have the incredibly out if place God Only Knows Why and the tone deaf bs at the end. Oh also if kid rock wasnt a wanker. So 1 instead.
Not for me. Unique punk surf pop stuff if youre into that
This aint disco. Reminds me of the beatles. Very cool stuff
I feel it falls off a bit towards the end, didnt remember feeling that way. Id 3.5 it for that but there are rules
Everything sounds the same if youre into that
Did you wake up and choose anger? Want to listen to a rejected Doom soundtrack? Do you enjoy thrash metal skate shred punk house? This is for you
Vocals were hard to make out even at higher volume. Boppin tunes though
Unique, eclectic, and probably ahead of its time, but somehow entirely unmemorable as well
Didnt finish but not for me. Also not bad music
Hope they fired their marketing and release team in the 90s
Really enjoyed this. Need to add more Allman to my rotation
Slow sad songs about women, slow happy song aboiut women. Meh
So incredibly mediocre I upped it from a 2 to a 3 because I am so impressed with its unwavering ability to be benign
Somewhat embarassing, this was my first full listen. Listened to so many of the singles always figured id heard it all. A case where the sum of all its parts are better than scattered hits. Shame Waters is a wanker.
Loved this. Whewwww
Interesting. Album was all over the place in terms of sound
I didn't need to hear this before i died. I hear it yearly
I really enjoyed this. Dunno when I'd go back go it but a great example of something you might only hear because of this list. Absurd. Ecclectic sound. Definitely not for everyone but very fun.
Even as a product of its time this one wasn't carried hard enough by the hitd
I wish I knew more music words to better describe this. Pleasantly surprised with this one, but there's something holding it back in some of the tunes.
Not for me
This was all over the place pacing and genre wise
You know how people look at an art piece and say "Well you can just feel what they were feeling when they painted this. Such emotion captured" and you nod your head because its really just feces squirted jackson pollock style on canvas. This is that, the musical quivalent of poo on a wall
TIL aerosmith does not totally suck
Disintegration is a farce and shoulda been a 3. This is a great cohesive mellow lad
Been a long time since i put this on, forgot what a slapper it is
Dunno that ive ever listened to this one. Great stuff
Some groovin bass lines but didnt quite jive with me. Solid
Nostalgia? Maybe. Too many overplayed songs? Probs. Nonsensical lyrics? 100%. Fun musical romp though
Wtf?
Y dis on ze list
Pleasantly forgettable
So mediocre shouldn't make the list. Its not bad just generic
Dated womanizing lyrics with nothing special
Some real skill, good beats, and far better than more popular albums at the time but the oversexification of some songs and the skits really bring it down a peg
Pretty cool stuff yet I don't think I'd go back to it ever. However if I'm in a movie dream sequence having a conversation with myself in a bar, this would be on
:wat:
Bit too long. Not quite for me but real talent
Biblical bs and mediocre vocals aren't saved by occasionally strumming impressively
Better than I was expecting
Ms Robinson and some pretty standard punk
Just slightly inconsistent to pull it down from a 4. Cool stuff though
Rage gonna rage
Last 4 songs really save this form being sub mediocre melancholy bs
Great beats, the vocals don't do it for me.
Pretty okay. If it were a bit more cohesive maybe it'd be a 4
This one isn't for me but I respect it and the style. Might grow on me with more listens.
Never listened to this one somehow. Good stuff
Turns out they are pretty good
Whoa this is maybe too chill to be a 4... Oh oh lawd what happened. Is this a 2? 3 it is
Respect. Not the style for me but not bad. A little too "hard"
V I B E
Cool for reggae. Not for me. Not unpleasant
Falls off a bit but we don't have half stars here. What to do.
Ya know I just dont like pixies. Started decentish but lost me
If it were 2004 I'd probably 4 star this
Sort of a travis and better than Ezra combo
Awesome stuff. One not as great song and one out of place but really cool
Solid stuff. One big vibe
PUNK. I'll probs never listen again but neat stuff
Surprising myself with a middle of the road 3 hear. I love it but nothing too fancy
This is so close to a five from me but just not quite there. Awesome stuff
This one surprised me. Felt like a 2 to start and left me wanting some more
5 outta 5 no notes
Excuse me preventing that 5* life
Some cool songs. Some not so cool. Not for me
Perfectly whatever. Their other stuff is great this didn't need to make the list
The girl is literally on the cover
Every song goes 2x longer than necessary. Like edging without a climax
Some bops drag it out if 2 territory into 3. Pleasant listening but not totes for me
Was in the mood. Wild stuff. Not at all for everyone
Yes
Big surprise for me how much I loved this as an album.
Pretty cool stuff
All over the place. Not great not terrible. Some neat stuff, some generic stuff.
Came in too excited for this one I think. Fine I suppose
No ty
Super strong ending. Good weird stuff
This one has some classics and some trash. The classics and sleepers carry it up above a 3 for me but overall the gangster rap doesn't age well
Too long. A little all over the place. Mixing/production (I'm not a music guy) is abysmal. Vocals inaudible on half the tracks
Not my cup of tea but got into it as it went on. I think they are really good at this style of sound
A top five song about gangbangs all time fer sure.
Strong start and dips in quality a little bit. Overall enjoyed
Wanted this to resonate with me more. Its def great pop
Cool stuff. Mono version was rough. Too much
Too long. Some cool stuff and some not cool stuff. Not my genre most of the time
This is wild. Complete genre mash up. Some great stuff but I don't think I'd ever listen again because I don't know what mood i need to be in to say "cafe bleu is what I'm craving"
What a refreshing hip hop album. Really loved this one. Three full listens and it impressed me each time. This is why I'm on the 1001 train
Neat stuff. A little too long for me
Maybe my heart is made of stone, not glass, but one way or another I didn't need the whole album after noon
Ow
Most tolerable of the miserable fuck I've heard
Inaudible and what I could hear was boring
Huge surprise. Never heard of em and this was unique and all over but awesome
Feels wildly ahead of its time and crosses so many genres in a good way.
I think this could have been trimmed in some way to bump to a 4, not overly long just some stuff wasn't as good as the rest
Dug it but in the end its a lot of covers and sorta blurs together
Yaaaaas queen
Ruined a 3 star by being too stereotypical country for me
Felt like I was playing GTA looking for a good radio station that never came
Weird. Best song about fish cakes I ever did hear.
"Song title. Song title Song titleee." If this were 1001 perfectly cromulent albums from the 90s it'd belong on the list.
I don't get this being on the list. It's not overly unpleasant or anything but the only thing they did uniquely was mix the vocals into inaudible territory.
Before there were mumble rappers, there were mumble rockers I guess. Bold choices like TV static, whispers over feedback, and a few actually nice ambient-esque tracks.
W E I R D and all over the place but cool.
Impressively makes 95% of songs on an 11 song 32min album somehow feel too long. I can respect that they're doing uh.. something but it ain't for me and this might not be it
Super pleasant country stuffs
Can't convince me they're not from across the pond and that the whole album is english language but pretty neat to give a one time listen to
3.6 Roentgen, not great, not terrible. Wild its reception caused the breakup of the band.
Get's a little too out there drone-y for far too long to be a 4 banger
Got a little too odd in the second half to bring home the 4
Not quite 1 level but close
Really dug this.
Couldn't tell you why but I didn't like this one. Nothing wrong with it but it didn't land for me
hella weird and eclectic but def a fun one time listen
Solid rock. Butt rock even, but solid stuff.
whew
Good pleasant stuff. A little more variety to it and I'd bump it to a 4 but felt a bit too samey.
Super pleasant vibes
I think more listens and a different mood and I'd rate this a bit differently
this is probably good country but I can't get into it
Not soft. Pretty cool.
I really don't get the pixies, but I appreciate they exist
not for me, but if you like this probs cool
This got a bit too weird to hold the 4
too dated lyrically for a 3
This was an album of all albums
Perhaps the most maybe a 2 or maybe a 3 album on this list
surprised me after the first few songs
I would almost consider a 5 if the weird dialogue rants were shorter or removed
