The seventh guy on this album cover is Duke Bootee. You know him. You've always known him. “It’s like a jungle sometimes, it makes me wonder how I keep from going under” And the bars “The bill collectors, they ring my phone And scare my wife when I’m not home Got a bum education, double-digit inflation Can’t take the train to the job, there’s a strike at the station.” Give this man his flowers Rest In Power Edward Fletcher

On paper this is a tough sell for me: ❌not a grunge fan ❌don't enjoy the Pixie's music ❌double album. Leave people wanting more! ✔️best album cover But this album zipped through, and held my attention much more that I expected it to. Not in love with it, but it was more varied in style than I had anticipated. Also, I find it hilarious that this album with *this* cover was released a month after Hole's Live Through This, given their history. What a weird coincidence

Oh, it's the guy from the Jeffrey Lewis song! "And you might say now there's a guy who seems to have their world laid out before him Or you might say, he's just a rich kid or a fascist or a charlatan But either way you say it if you look at indie-rock culture you really can't ignore him And even if at first dismissive, after some listens you'll enjoy him" I hope Jeff makes this list.

After signing to a major label, Hersh quickly realized she wasn’t interested in entertaining the greed of the corporate recording industry, so she traded her first solo album, the widely acclaimed ‘Hips and Makers,’ for her band’s freedom. ‘I felt morally obligated to no longer participate in an industry without substance. We need real women, we need real music,’ says Hersh 🤩QUEEN🤩

Not sure which version I'm supposed to be reviewing. The original E.P (1988, six tracks) gets 3/5 from me. The 1990 re-release (12 tracks) is a solid 4/5. However, the Spotify link leads to the 32-track Deluxe Edition? I ain't about that life, dawg. I'm gonna pretend this submission is "Superfuzz Bigmuff Plus Early Singles (1990)" because "Touch me I'm sick" slappps.
